1940년 발매된 The Ink Spots(잉크 스팟)의 음악 "Java Jive" 은 카페인 향이 물씬 묻어나는 음악이다.

Java는 인도네시아 지역명을 의미하는 것이고, Jive는 재즈나 락앤롤 음악에 맞춰 자이브 춤을 추는 것을 의미한다.

잉크 스파츠의 'Java Jive' 버전은 미국 팝 차트에서 17위에 올랐다. 이후 잉크 스파츠는 알앤비 그룹, 특히 흑인 혼성 5인조 그룹 플래터스(The Platters)에게 큰 영향을 주었다. 이 곡은 존 휴스턴(John Huston), 라울 월쉬(Raoul Walsh) 감독, 베티 데이비스(Bette Davis), 올리비아 드 하빌랜드(Olivia de Havilland) 주연의 1942년 영화 'In This Our Life'(인 디스 아워 라이프)의 사운드트랙에 삽입되었다.
